Cruelty Free Cosmetics are easier to find than ever

Cruelty Free Cosmetics are easier to find than ever

Cruelty free cosmetics loosely defined are those whose constituent parts have not been tested on animals in any shape or form. In years gone by it was a little difficult to say the least to ensure that you were buying makeup or other cosmetics that had not been tested on animals. Nowadays though, there is little excuse for buying a product that has been tested on animals when there are so many viable alternatives out there. Even cosmetic equipment like vegan makeup brushes are available for purchase, these are brushes that are not made from any form of animal products and compliment vegan and cruelty free items very well.

Cosmetics not tested on animals used to be confined to special sections of stores but are now so common that they have been mingled in with the regular stock in stores. Makeup testing on animals as a practice has been severely shunned by most modern companies, scientifically there is no reason to be carrying out such practices with so many viable alternatives out there for manufacturers to be using, even when things like moisturisers are being tested on skin there are still many cruelty free skin product testing methods that can be used.

Why you should choose cruelty free cosmetics

There are so many reasons to choose cruelty free cosmetics even if you aren’t someone who is particularly passionate about animals in general. I think most people would agree that it’s certainly more ethical to use things like vegan makeup and products like cruelty free shampoo, it literally costs no extra money these days to choose between products. The more consumers are aware of the alternatives out there and the animal free cosmetics options that are available to them, the sooner that we can finally stamp out animal testing practices in general.

Vegan beauty products make excellent gifts too even for non vegans, most people care about their cosmetics being cruelty free too, so it’s a win win! Everyone female that I’ve spoken too would certainly love a cruelty free mascara perhaps as a stocking filler around Christmas time.
