Turner's Holland is not as we know it today. Then it was The Kingdom of the United Netherlands, until 1839. The Kingdom included Luxemburg and Belgium  which embraced the battlefield of Waterloo.

Turner made a tour of Holland in 1817 in order to go to the battlefield and made sketches 2 of 19 as below
