Content and sources
This site is a reference archive about the painter Joseph Mallord William Turner. It publishes research and catalogue information only; it does not trade in works of art. Catalogue information is credited on each page to the collection or the dataset it came from, and reproductions link to their source file.
Images
Turner died in 1851 and his works are in the public domain. The reproductions used here are sourced from Wikimedia Commons and every page links the specific source file it uses, together with the artist, the title of the work and the licence under which the reproduction is published.
